DiorSkin AirFlash Spray Foundation Review - Does It Deliver An Airbrush Finish?

As I previously mentioned, I am in search for the best foundation for my sensitive and oily skin. As a loyal fan of Bare Escentuals bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation Medium Tan and Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Almond for casual days, and Giorgio Armani 'Luminous Silk' Foundation for evening occasions, I wanted something in between. After researching and trying a number of products, I finally found that the DiorSkin AirFlash Spray Foundation fulfills my wants of ease, coverage and lightweightness while looking au natural.

Without having to own an expensive airbrush machine, the Dior AirFlash is an ultra-light spray foundation that delivers an "airbrushed" effect with ease at a reasonable price. It evens out skin tone and visibly diminishes the appearance of fine lines, pores and skin irregularities. Available in 5 shades, the #400 (Honey) best matches with my medium tanned skin. The make up artist at Neiman Marcus suggested either directly spraying the Dior AirFlash to the face in a continuous motion or spraying it on a buff brush to conserve foundation and have better precision while applying. I have tried both methods and at $60 a bottle for 2.3 ounces, I prefer spraying my buff brush.

Before applying, I moisturize my face with purlisse pur protect essential daily moisturizer spf 30 and if I really want a glam look, I then apply Giorgio Armani Fluid Master Primer to smoothe the skin's surface, refine pores and create a flawless canvas on which to apply foundation. I then spray my buff brush with Dior Airflash #400 and apply on one side of the face, spray the brush again and apply on the other side of the face and then blending everything together. Good coverage accomplished in seconds. It goes on smooth, blends easily and evens out skin tone. On my oily skin, it delivers a dewy finish but I prefer a more matte look therefore finishing off with a dusting of loose powder.

This is a great product for those who want to keep their make-up routine simple and efficient without achieving that cakey, heavy foundation look. It's perfect for those on the go who want good medium coverage without feeling like you have anything on yet lasts all day.
